Debbie Davis, Director of Children's Ministries

I was born again and began attending Word of Faith Center in 1984, when the church was still in a storefront building. I began to teach in the children's department in 1989 and became the Director of Sunday School in 1990. In 1993 I became the Children's Director and this is where I have enjoyed serving the Lord.

My desire is for every child to have the opportunity to learn and know who God is through a personal relationship with Jesus. Here at Word of Faith Center we are excited about the many different classroom opportunities we have for each child to learn and grow. Each classroom, beginning at birth, is carefully planned to develop our children mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally into the men and women of God they are created to be. I appreciate the many dedicated and faithful staff volunteers who help every child in knowing they are loved and accepted by Jesus, our Savior. It is exciting to see each child encouraged with ministry opportunities to exercise their gifts and talents placed in them by God. It has been so stimulating for me throughout the years to see so many children grow in their relationship with God and each other through serving Him and others.

Maxine Thornton, Music Director of the Worship & Arts Ministry

Maxine has served at Word of Faith Center since October 1991. Since joining, her calling and gifts have been specifically focused in the Worship & Arts Ministry. The Worship & Arts Ministry is comprised of vocalists, musicians, audio, and visual members.

Prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest and serving at Word of Faith Center, Maxine and her family resided in the Midwest, where she ministered in her local church choir. She often did lead solos, assisted with teaching of vocal parts and directed the choir.

Maxine passionately aspires to make His praise "glorious" so that all men would be drawn to him. Maxine resides in Richland, WA with her husband Derek, and son, Cedric.

Jim Griffin, Board of Director, Elder, and Missions

I have been at Word of Faith Center for 19 years serving in various areas of ministry. I'm currently a board of director, elder, and missions. I have overseen some of our most successful outreach events, such as Friends Day, Family Fun Night, and our big Easter Egg Hunt! I also go on different missions trips throughout the year. One of the mission trips I go on is with LESEA Feed the Hungry Program, who we are partnered up with in getting food for the hungry.

Marlando Jordan, Director of Youth Ministries

Marlando Jordan, Director of Youth Ministries

Marlando Jordan, an anointed man of God, is our Youth Director at Word of Faith Center. Marlando has been preaching since the age of 14 and has an incredible fire and passion for this generation. He recently got married to an awesome woman of God, Megan, who is by his side in youth ministry. Marlando has experience in creating, organizing, and hosting youth events.

One of these events is Youth on Fire, an organization designed to build effective ministry clubs on junior high and high school campuses. Another event, Invasion, has powerful men and women of God from all over the nation speaking, worshipping, and making a huge impact on the youth of this nation. Invasion, launched in 1998 and now an annual conference, is one of the largest youth conferences in the state of Washington.

Marlando also oversees a 7000+ square foot building, designed with progressive technology and architecture to target the youth of the community. This outreach center provides a positive influence for young men and women, giving them a place to build friendships and grow spiritually.

Marlando has a strong desire to see people walk in the fullness of God and to help them reach their God-given destines. His enthusiasm and passion for this generation brings a unique and bold style of preaching. You are guaranteed to be challenged and motivated to be all that God has called you to be as you receive from this anointed man of God.

Bernice Rush, Director of Heritage Pre-School

Bernice Rush, Director of Heritage Pre-School

Bernice has been attending Word of Faith Center since 1988. Bernice first visited WOFC when it was located in the old Trend College building and immediately felt at home and welcome. Her children were excited and enjoyed their classes at church. Bernice's twin boys were one year old when she began in the infant ministry. From there her role in Children's Ministry grew. Bernice went on to become a Rainbows teacher and helped start the ABC preschool program on Wednesday nights.

Bernice had a vision for a preschool in the church, so she met with Debbie, our Children's Director, and developed a handbook. Heritage Preschool was launched in 1998 on a trial basis. The first year there was 4 rotating teachers and 15 students, by the next year Heritage had 65 students! In the fall of 2000, they added Kindergarten. At this time, Bernice knew she needed to finish her Early Childhood Degree for both personal reasons and to be ready to take Heritage to the next level; she graduated in June of 2000. The classes she took helped her to develop new curriculum practices and employ new methods of teaching. For the last several years, Heritage has averaged about 120 students and employed 16 teachers.
